The Dose Makes The Poison!
Perhaps the greatest paradox in disease management concerning drugs is this: every drug is a potential poison. Fluffy, spongy, pancakes; the all-or-nothing phenomenon in making an Administrative Pharmacist.
Pancakes are delicacies that have dominated breakfast tables since pre-historic times, according to reliable archaeological evidence. They, like administrative pharmacists, vary in shape, size, and nature. However, the universality in all versions of this staple lies in the sacrosanctity of it’s major ingredients (everything except the toppings) and preparation method.
In this exciting piece, Pharm Khalid graciously shares a recipe that has been used for centuries to ‘make’ the best administrative pharmacists. Click here to access this recipe and try it out.

PCN ACT SIGNED INTO LAW!!!
From the office of the PSN President:
Dear Colleagues.
It is with deep appreciation to God that I announce the Presidential assent of the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria bill by H.E President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR.
This expressly implies we now have a new PCN Act to regulate and control Pharmacy practice in Nigeria.
It has been a tortuous journey since 2015 when the PSN and the registry of PCN initiated meaningful development geared toward the actualisation of the PCN Act.
I find it necessary to salute the immediate past Registrar Dr N.A.E Mohammed FPSN and his successor and incumbent Registrar Pharm I.B Ahmed FPSN who were diligent and resolute in seeing this agenda through.
My gratitude goes to the Chairmen of the Technical groups and NEC who gave express support in all ramifications to my initiative to railroad the last NASS approval which we started in December 2021 and has culminated in this landmark Presidential assent.
Of course, I remain grateful to the Past Presidents of PSN who carefully edited the PCN bill alongside the Registrar and experts from the National Law Reform Commission since 2015 when the Law and Ethics Committee led by the PSN President presented the draft of the PCN bill.
Now is the time to make this an impactful law and I pray we shall all reap the good fruits of Pharmacy practice in our lifetime.
Amen.
God bless the Pharmacy profession.
Prof Cyril Odianose Usifoh FPSN
President, PSN.
